Can I visit the gallery in person?
Absolutely! Bisou Gallery is located in the Eastern Docklands in Amsterdam. We’re open by appointment, and we’d love to show you around. Just send us a message to plan your visit.
If there are specific works you’ve seen online that you’d like to view in person, let us know in advance, we’ll make sure they’re ready for you to see.
Can you help me choose the right piece?
Of course! Whether you're looking for something specific or need help deciding what fits your home or collection, we’re happy to give advice. You can visit the gallery or send us a message with some photos or info about your space and taste, we’ll help you find something special.
Do you offer framing?
Yes, we do! Bisou offers framing services and we’re happy to discuss options with you. We mainly work with wooden or aluminium frames in various finishes and always use clarity glass for UV protection and reduced reflections.
Please note: framing increases both the risk of damage during transport and the cost of shipping. For that reason, we generally advise having works framed locally. Only choose framing through Bisou if you're planning to pick up the piece in person, or if we’ve discussed a safe shipping option together.
Why do you show all the prices online?
Because we believe in transparency, and in doing things differently.
The art world often feels closed-off, with hidden pricing and unspoken rules. At Bisou, we want to change that. We believe art should be approachable and accessible, not just for collectors, but for anyone who wants to live with something beautiful and meaningful.
Showing prices helps remove barriers and makes it easier to engage with art. We’re here to bring art closer to people, not to guard it behind old systems.
Are all artworks original?
Bisou offers a mix of original works, limited editions, and unique handmade pieces. Each product page will specify the medium and edition details.
Why are there so many works by Kumi Sugai?
Bisou Gallery has been collecting works by Kumi Sugai for over a decade. His bold graphic language has always resonated deeply with us. Over the years, we’ve built a large personal collection of his original vintage editions, sourced from all over the world.
We believe Sugai’s work deserves more attention, and it has become part of Bisou’s mission to reintroduce this exceptional artist to a wider audience. All Sugai pieces available through Bisou are original vintage editions, dating from the 1950s to the 1990s.
Are all works on the website available to buy?
Yes, unless marked as 'Sold'. Some pieces are one-of-a-kind, while others are part of limited editions. If you’d like more information about a work, its background, or availability, just hit the 'request inquiries' button, we're happy to share more.
